| Welcome to TiggrWeather From our Davis Vantage Pro2 station at TiggrSuccess NE Phoenix, AZ Local Radar |
This page contains local radar data updated every 10 minutes from the Phoenix office of the National Weather Service (station IWA). When you first come here it will take a moment for the 24 images contained in the loop to download. After this initial download the loop will start automatically. Given the time between updates, and the number of images in the loop, one run will show you just over four hours of radar data.
The Storm Predator software downloads these images from NWS and does further processing on them. They are then sent by us to the server for presentation. The upload is every 10 minutes on the 10; i.e., :00, :10, :20, etc. Roughly one minute after the upload, you can refresh the page to see the new images. Note that directly under the image is the exact date and time the image was captured. The small triangular red flag just above "Phoenix" is the approximate location of our station - actually at the base of the flag pole if you really want to get picky.
With unending thanks to Chuck at Boulder Creek Weather for his invaluable assistance.
