The National Weather Service in Las Vegas has issued a
* Flood Warning for...
Southwestern Mohave County in northwestern Arizona...
Eastern San Bernardino County in southern California...
* Until 300 PM PST Wednesday/400 PM MST Wednesday/.
* At 556 AM PST/656 AM MST/, numerous rain gauges reported two to
three inches of rainfall. A resulting flood wave...with a crest
around one flowing down the Sacramento Wash.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Topock and Oatman Road.
Flood waters are moving down the Sacramento Wash from Golden Valley
to Topock.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

.Chances for rain will continue over northwest Arizona and the
Colorado River Valley through Thursday. The best chances for
thunderstorms and locally heavy rain will be this evening through
Wednesday afternoon.
The Flash Flood Watch continues for
* Portions of northwest Arizona, southeast California, and
southern Nevada, including the following areas, in northwest
Arizona, Lake Havasu and Fort Mohave, Lake Mead National
Recreation Area, Northwest Deserts, and Northwest Plateau. In
southeast California, San Bernardino County-Upper Colorado
River Valley. In southern Nevada, Lake Mead National
Recreation Area and Northeast Clark County.
* Through this afternoon
* Widespread one to two inch rain totals are expected through
the period. Thunderstorms could produce locally heavier
amounts of two to four inches, especially in southern and
eastern Mohave County.
* Secondary roads which cross the Big Sandy River and Burro
Creek will be at risk of flooding, as will any areas where
thunderstorms occur.

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may become favorable
for flooding of washes...streams and other drainage areas in the
watch area. If you are in the watch should closely
monitor weather forecasts and be prepared to take immediate
action should heavy rain and flooding occur or a flash flood
warning is issued.
