FRIDAY AFTERNOON DUE TO STRONG WINDS AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY
FOR PORTIONS OF NORTHERN ARIZONA FROM THE LITTLE COLORADO RIVER
VALLEY NORTH TO THE UTAH BORDER IN COCONINO APACHE AND NAVAJO
COUNTIES...
The National Weather Service in Flagstaff has issued a Fire
Weather Watch due to strong winds and low relative humidity,
which is in effect from Friday morning through Friday afternoon.
* AFFECTED AREA...portions of northern Arizona from the Little Colorado
River Valley north to the Utah border in Coconino, Apache, and
Navajo Counties.
* WINDS...Southwest 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 11 percent.
* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop have the potential to spread
very rapidly.
