...FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH THIS AFTERNOON...
The Flash Flood Watch continues for
* Portions of southwest Arizona and southeast California,
including the following areas, in southwest Arizona, Central
La Paz County, Gila River Valley, Kofa, Parker Valley, and
Southeast Yuma County. In southeast California, Chuckwalla
Valley and Palo Verde Valley.
* Through this afternoon
* Widespread showers and thunderstorms will affect southeast
California and southwest Arizona this morning tapering off by
this afternoon. The strongest cells will be capable of
producing periods of heavy rain, which could lead to flooding of
washes and small streams.

Information:
A Flash Flood Watch means that flooding of washes, creeks and
other drainage areas is possible within the watch area. If you
are in the watch area, you should watch the weather and be
prepared to take immediate action should heavy rain and flooding
occur or a flash flood warning be issued.

THIS MORNING...
The Flash Flood Watch is now in effect for
* Portions of southwest Arizona and southeast California,
including the following areas, in southwest Arizona, Yuma. In
southeast California, Chuckwalla Mountains, Imperial Valley,
and Southeastern Imperial County.
* Until 11 AM MST /10 AM PST/ this morning
* Ongoing widespread showers and thunderstorms will mostly come to
an end by sunrise with lingering isolated activity for the rest
of the morning. The strongest cells will be capable of producing
periods of heavy rain, which could lead to flooding of washes
and small streams.
