...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 615 PM MST THIS EVENING...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Portions of southwest Arizona and west central Arizona,
including the following counties, in southwest Arizona, Yuma. In
west central Arizona, La Paz.
* WHEN...Until 615 PM MST.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Dangerous flows over low-water crossings. Water over roadways.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 303 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly along Highway 95. Up to 0.5 inches of rain have
fallen.
- Highway 95 is the most likely place to experience minor
flooding.
This includes the following streams and drainages...
Plomosa Wash, Smith Wash, Indian Wash, French Creek, Tyson
Wash, Cholla Wash, La, Poormans Wash and Scaddan Wash.
Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.

Quartzsite.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Details:
...Strong thunderstorms will impact portions of southwestern La Paz,
northwestern Yuma, northeastern Imperial and Riverside Counties
through 515 PM MST/515 PM PDT/...
At 347 PM MST/347 PM PDT/, Doppler radar was tracking strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from 8 miles west of Quartzsite
to 10 miles southeast of Cibola. Movement was west at 5 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Blythe, Quartzsite, Cibola, Ripley, Palo Verde, East Blythe and
Ehrenberg.
This includes the following highways...
AZ Interstate 10 between mile markers 1 and 26.
CA Interstate 10 between mile markers 152 and 156.
AZ Route 95 between mile markers 92 and 114.

...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of southwestern La Paz,
northeastern Imperial and Riverside Counties through 600 PM MST/600
PM PDT/...
At 423 PM MST/423 PM PDT/, Doppler radar was tracking a strong
thunderstorm near Palo Verde, or 34 miles northwest of Martinez Lake,
moving west at 5 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Palo Verde and Cibola.
This includes CA Route 78 between mile markers 70 and 80.
